If you’re staying at the Lake Lure Cedar House, we have a gorgeous fully-equipped kitchen for your enjoyment.
Here’s some places we recommend stopping by for groceries.
Ingles (276 NC-9, Lake Lure, NC 28746)
Ingles is our closest full grocery story and gas station.
Pro tips: If you are hosting a big group, grab an extra bag of ice near checkout. It is great for keeping up with ice demands on hot days, filling coolers, etc.. Also, get the muffins from the bakery and don’t look at the calorie intake. They are soooo good.
Lawter’s Fruit Stand
No known address (read hidden gem)! It is located along the side of Highway US 64 near the intersection Gene Stratton Porter Road and US 64.
How to Get There
From the Cedar house, take a left turn on Deerwood Drive. At stop sign, take a right on to Buffalo Schoals Rd. Follow Buffalo Schoals approximately 2 miles until you dead end into US 64 (Highlands Kitchen &Bar restaurant should be on your left). Take a right on to US 64. Follow for approximately 3 miles. When you pass The Lake House restaurant, you have about a mile left. Fruit stand will be on your left hand side.
