During the peak season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), all check ins are on Sunday at 5 PM and check outs are on the following Sunday at 10 AM. For all dates not in peak season, we do not restrict check ins and check outs to a particular day of the week. Check in time is 5 PM and check out time is 10 AM for all stays.

During peak season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), we can never offer an early check in or late check out. Our cleaning team needs all of the allotted time to make sure the home is sparkling clean for every check in!

Asheville is about an hour drive from the property. The roads are curvy, but it’s a very scenic and easy drive.

We are extremely fortunate to have reliable fiber internet. Our speeds average 660 mgps on downloads and 650 mgps on uploads.

At the main house, you will most likely have service with all providers. Given the hillside location, you will likely have some better spots and some dead spots on the property. We recommend connecting to the wifi upon arrival and using internet based calls/messaging such as facetime audio for the most reliable connection.

Ingles is a full sized grocery store and conveniently located about ten minutes from the property. Read more about our suggestions where to get groceries and shop here.

We aim to provide the best stocked vacation rental EVER. We want our guests to arrive and be able to enjoy immediately. For a complete list of items provided, please view the additional resources section in our welcome book here.

Due to termite concerns and an inability to safely store the wood nearby, we DO NOT provide firewood (for outdoor fire pit). Firewood is generally available for purchase at Ingles (grocery store) or nearby general store.

We have a closed circuit, private system (not cloud based). Cameras are present on the exterior of the property and at entry points inside of the home. There are no audio recordings and no cameras are hidden and/or located in private areas of the home. They may be monitored for the maintenance of the home and to insure house/safety rules are followed.

No. The Lake Lure Cedar House is on private lake front land and not contained in the resort. When booked, our amenities are completely private and not shared with any guests outside of your own party.

Unfortunately, our home is not ADA or well suited for those with mobility challenges. Our property is nearly three acres and mountain-side. Stairs are required to get from the parking areas to the main living area of the home and the boathouse/docks.

Our property is nearly three acres and truly lake front. It offers the unique experience of wide open views from the main home and a boathouse in a private secluded cove. The boathouse is a short walk through the woods from the main house or if you choose, you may drive your car to the base of the property and access the steps to the docks/boathouse from a second parking area.
